Premier league matchday 6 predictions!
With matchday 6 on the horizon lets take a look at the upcoming fixtures and how we think the matches will play out.
Everton 0-2 Liverpool
In the infamous derby it seems like a match that can only go the way of the visitors despite them not being at their top form. The visitors defence has not been up to the standard of last season but with Everton's very poor attacking unit they should be more than capable of keeping a clean sheet against them, and while Everton's defence has been resolute they are yet to keep a clean sheet in the league.
Tottenham 2-1 Fulham
Despite Fulham looking like a solid prem team, Tottenham under Conte look like a much better side than before and with the home advantage they should be able to take away 3 points from the game.
Nottingham Forest 1-0 Bournemouth
With Bournemouth looking like clear relegation candidates and Forest looking like a completely different side with their army of new signings it seems as though they should be able to take all 3 points from this home fixture.
Chelsea 1-0 West Ham
Chelsea seem to be a hard team to predict this season with the defence not looking up to scratch and struggling to find goals. However, West Ham have also not had the best of starts and struggle to score goals. With the home advantage and noticeable new signings that may make a debut against West Ham, the match will definitely be in Chelsea's favour and I think that they will be able to just edge a result.
Brentford 1-2 Leeds
Both sides have had a good start to the season and look to build on the positive starts. However, the visitors have looked extremely dangerous when attacking and were unlucky to leave Everton with just a point, they also look much more solid defensively than last season and think they can just edge this close fixture.
Wolves 0-0 Southampton
Wolves have always looked resolute in defence but weak in attack. I think both teams will balance each other out and struggle to break the deadlock and as a result could lead to a quiet 0-0 game.
Newcastle 2-1 Crystal Palace
Both teams have had great starts to the premier league considering the difficult run of games they both had. Newcastle have looked much improved defensively with signings like Botman but its the new signing of Isak that could give them the edge over Palace with an extremely impressive debut against Liverpool. Palace should provide strong competition especially with the main man Zaha being in such good form in front of goal.
Aston Villa 0-3 Manchester City
It's hard to see anyone but City winning this game with the fine form they have been in. The goal machine that is Haaland has looked unstoppable so far with 9 goals in 5 games with back to back hattricks. Aston Villa have also looked extremely poor this season and picking up there only points of the season with a narrow win over relegation candidates Everton.
Brighton 1-0 Leicester City
Brighton have looked like an exciting team so far this season and have shown no reason as to why that should slow down. Leicester on the other hand have looked extremely disappointing and from a personal point of view I think they will have an extremely poor season finishing low mid table and potentially even getting dragged into a relegation battle. Brendan Rodgers job could not be far from going as public disagreement surrounding transfers have been made clear as well as the poor results.
Manchester United 2-2 Arsenal
Arsenal have had an unbelievable start to the season as they lead the table with 5 wins out of 5. However they are yet to play a top team yet and this will prove a true test for them. I think United will look to continue this new resurgence from the last 2 games as both sides face their first real test of the season. I went with a draw due to the game being played at Old Trafford but I think United would be extremely happy to get a point off of this Arsenal side.
